We made it to Uruguay! It’s only a
hour by flight from Buenos Aires. We left the airport and hopped on a bus. The ticket person quoted me $60 US dollars for a bus ride versus 60 pesos. That’s a huge price difference. I had the “hell naw- you not about to play me bc I’m a foreigner look” as I spoke firmly is broken Spanish. Luckily, a kind, bilingual man jumped in and checked the lady about her math and incorrect conversation rate. The real bus price is equivalent to $6 USD. *side eye* We chilled on the beach and then walked to our hotel after piecing together an officer’s Spanish. I had 4 glasses of fresh pressed juice and this beach sleep is about to be so good.
