Natural Hair and Other Kinky Stuff

Natural Hair: 2nd day Wash N Go

So yall know that I have a love hate relationship with wash n gos. I mean they are suppose to be convenient and help coax your natural your curl definition but my low porosity hair isn’t feeling it. My strands stay saturated with water that my hair refuses to absorb. I’ve never been able to achieve one that I have liked and I’ve been in the natural game since 2009.

This time though, I did a quasi wash n go, which was explained in my previous post. I decided to twist my hair is medium sized twists to preserve the style instead of “pineappling” my hair. I actually enjoyed the 2nd day hair results. (Pictured Below).

However, at day four, I did notice some small knots at the ends of my hair. For my hair type, extended periods of free flowing hair causes tangles and a few knots. As a result, I’ll be cowashing my hair tomorrow and styling my hair is large twists to wear it in a stretched and textured bun.” alt=”IMG_1055.JPG” class=”alignnone size-full” />

I’ve also noticed that literally any type of tension irritates my scalp. My head bands, scarfs, buns etc. I don’t wear any of those items tight either. I’ve always been tender headed but the sensitivity has escalated since taking my sew in out.

Kinky is picky and I simply have to give her what she wants, which will require some experimenting and trial and error.
